This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AiCredits may collect when you browse our site, place an order, redeem credits, or use services connected to our OpenAI-compatible API workflow.

1. Information we may collect

Order details such as plan, amount, order ID, and payment status
Contact details you provide to payment providers or support channels, such as email address
Technical and security data such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, and request logs
Usage records needed to deliver prepaid credits, investigate delivery issues, and prevent abuse

2. How we use information

To process purchases and deliver redemption codes or related access information
To support order lookup, recovery, refund review, and customer support
To detect fraud, abuse, chargeback risk, or technical issues
To maintain service security, reliability, and internal reporting

3. Payment processors

Payments are handled by third-party payment providers such as Paddle and, where enabled, Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your full card number. Payment information is subject to the privacy practices of the relevant provider.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information for advertising. We may share limited data with service providers, hosting providers, payment processors, or legal authorities only when needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or protect rights and security.

5. Retention

We keep order and support records for a reasonable period needed for accounting, dispute handling, fraud review, and service operations. Retention periods may vary depending on legal or payment-provider requirements.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use only limited browser storage and similar mechanisms necessary for language preference, recent order lookup, session continuity, and basic site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Your choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect order and operational data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please use strong credentials and avoid sharing your API access or redemption information with others.

10. Lint Tools and Chrome Extension

Lint (tools.aicreditsapi.com) provides AI-powered grammar checking, paraphrasing, translation, summarization, and other writing tools. When you use Lint's free tier (up to 3 uses/day without signup), your text is sent to our API for processing and is not stored or logged after the response is returned.

The Chrome Extension ("Lint AI Writing Tools") operates entirely within your browser. It sends your selected text to the Lint API for processing. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any browsing history, personal data, or website content beyond the text you explicitly select for analysis.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): If you choose to provide your own DeepSeek or OpenAI-compatible API key in the extension settings or on the Lint website, that key is stored only in your browser's local storage — it is never sent to or stored on our servers. When you use BYOK, your text and API key are sent directly from your browser to the API provider you configured, bypassing our server entirely. We have no access to your key or your requests in BYOK mode.

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

contextMenus — to add right-click menu options ("Check Grammar", "Paraphrase", etc.)
storage — to save your preferences and BYOK API key locally in your browser
activeTab — to access the text you select on the current page for analysis

The extension does not access tabs you haven't interacted with, does not read pages automatically, and does not track your browsing activity.
